What have you done in your capacity as an Ambassador?
Been acting as a mentor for Sarah Robertson of Creative State helping her with advice on employment law and bad debtors. Where ever possible promoting her business to my network of contacts.
Introducing the Forward Ladies organisation to key contacts in Accountancy Firms, Banks and Law firms with regards to getting the organisation sponsorship.
Promoting entrepreneurial businesses to senior manager and partner contacts within the private client banks, law firms and accountancy firms. In practice this has been organising for fellow ‘Forward Ladies’ Sarah Robertson of Creative State/Betty & Jeff, and Ruth Innes of FIT2SUIT to be the key speakers at quarterly ‘ Private Client Ladies Lunches’ in Leeds. I am hoping to make this a regular spot promoting entrepreneurs from local businesses to larger professional organisations.

Nicola Prior, PR Consultant

Nicola has had her own PR business for 13 years working for clients in the energy, offsite construction and holiday sectors.  She has the prestigious status of Accredited Practitioner of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, achieved through commitment to continuous professional development.

She is passionate about PR and about the opportunities business offers women.  That’s why she is a mentor for the Leeds Enterprise Advisory Programme.  Students aged 15 and 16 from schools across the region form companies for an academic year and compete for prizes.  Girls always do incredibly well and therefore Nicola would encourage other Forward Ladies to mentor a team at their own local secondary school.
