New on-line Community for Ambassadors

From the 1st September we are launching an on-line community for our Ambassadors.
Have a look at the website, which has been created by Liz Cable and her team at Reach Further. Click on the link here and follow the instructions to create an account (see bottom right hand column). You can then start to populate the area, leave messages, listen to podcasts, and keep in touch with other ambassadors.  Once you have submitted the information, please allow 7 days before it goes live!

Eileen McMorrow gave 2 workshop sessions on Managing Legal Issues for the “Flying Start” programme for Women Entrepreneurs.

The programme  aims to support  women interested in starting (some may have recently started) their own business. They are either final year students or have graduated within the past 10 years. They are from all over the country and have to be looking to start their business in the UK.

Her sessions covered a general overview of the sorts of legal issues relevant to new and developing busineses including: -

Structure of businesses, What to call my business; What are the particular laws relating to my business; Trading on the internet; what makes a workable contract; Level of risk; What assets does my business own; Types of intellectual property rights; What happens if there is a dispute; Binging new people into the business; Growth of her business and exit plan.
