Manchester - Bookkeeper and Administrator
Reporting to: Managing Director Location: This role is based in the north west of the UK, working from the company's central Manchester office.
Remuneration package: Salary dependant on experience. The role allows a highly flexible work pattern, initially requiring 10-15 hour per week, with the opportunity to grow with the business.
Hours may be worked flexibly by agreement. You may occasionally be expected to work outside core hours. Extra hours worked will be compensated by time off in lieu (TOIL).
Key responsibilities:
- Book keeping and financial accounting
- Administration for the business
- PA support to the MD .
- Secure orders, arrange and track shipments, raise invoices, collect payments .
- Liaise with colleagues and with external suppliers and courier companies. .
- Maintain the purchase ledger - enter suppliers' invoices on the accounting system ensuring that they are properly authorised, arrange payment at the appropriate time. .
- Manage suppliers' enquiries - handling telephone calls requesting payment, dealing with supplier statements . Prepare and process sales invoices . Perform a credit control function ensuring customers pay on a timely basis .
- Pay staff expenses ensuring they are properly authorized .
- Collate the information required to prepare the monthly management accounts . File all accounting documentation .
- Provide administrative support to the business including filing and retrieving information and documents, typing letters, recording or updating information using computerised or manual systems
