Cheshire - Technical Support Consultant

Confident self-motivated individual needed for to software company based in Warrington, Cheshire (with UK travel).

Duties include technical support to customers in the installation, licensing and use of software products and assisting the sales team with technical enquiries and web demonstrations.

Technical Support - The candidate must be a fast learner who can quickly understand the needs of each customer and assist them in using the software in the most effective way for their business. . A good telephone manner and high standards of English are essential. Web Development - . The chosen candidate will be required to assist in the maintenance and development of the company's web sites. .

Knowledge of XHTML/CSS, PHP and MySQL is desirable, as is knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products. Software Development - . The chosen candidate will be required to write small applications based on software products and demonstrate them to potential customers. . Experience with C# and the .Net framework is desirable, as is experience of SQL Server.

Other tasks include researching and implementing various software technologies such as IBM Maximo and VMWare ESXi. The chosen candidate may also be asked to update documentation, test new product release and assist with building new PC's. A good degree (2:1 or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Scientific or Mathematical subject is required and a strong Mathematics background is essential.
