Networking in Cyprus

Forward Ladies took a party of 21 ladies to Cyprus for a networking opportunity with Cypriot businesswomen.  The visit was sponsored by International Property Consultants, Haven Overseas and organised by our own Forward Lady, Alka Madhvani, in conjunction with Cypriot builders and developers,  Elian.

Alka also announced her wedding during the trip, to fellow Haven consultant, Mark Perryman (Perry) who was absolutely charming.  We wish them a long and happy marriage after their wedding in September  - in Cyprus, where else?

We were looked after extremely well and in true Forward Ladies style during our stay.  We visited several developments of superb villas on this beautiful island.  But there was also time for sight-seeing and the opportunity to sample the cuisine of the island.

At a Gala dinner, we met local businesswomen running businesses from soft furnishings and homeware, to restaurateurs and property stylists, to journalists and solicitors.  Janet Jaye, a new Forward Lady, is a professional singer and entertained the ladies so well that other hotel guests and even the manager himself came in to watch her perform. 

Not only was there the opportunity to meet new ladies, including two who joined us from London, but we were able to get to know each other better.  The London ladies were so impressed that they have asked for more information, since there is nothing like Forward Ladies in the south.  We see a new branch possibly opening in the future....
