Hong Kong Trade Mission

Diary from Etta and the Hong Kong Trade Mission:

19th March, 00.22 . Arrived Leeds/Bradford all well. Thanks to Sally at airport for organising executive lounge a great start. Learnt return flight has been cancelled Elaine from Traveleads fantastic and is sorting everything for us. Long flight arrived safely. Hotel fine but Anita's case didn't arrive!!! Did tour to familiarise and all exhausted by end of day. First meetings at nine in morning.

20th March, 15.34 . Well we are really settled in now and the ladies are busy with their appointments. We have been to a couple of preorganised events and have been made very welcome.
Today was the visit to Macau - we took the ferry and attended presentations and a lunch. Macau is like Las Vegas (not that I have been) and will overtake it. It is all super casinos and has huge numbers of vsitors.
There is on on great buzz iin the group and lots of laughter. Tomorrow more individual meetings and on on networking lunch.

21st March 09.34 .Today was a good day! The ladies went off to meetings and we were then invited by the chamber to a lunch at the prestigious Hong Kong cCub. We were warmly welcomed  and enjoyed a super lunch and met a wide range of business women so you can imagine the chat level!!
After lunch ladies went off to their meetings again. Not much time for shopping although this is usually done late at night everywhere is open til very late. We are learning some interesting sales and marketing techniques!!

22nd March 15.48. We have learnt a tremendous amount about sales and marketing from our visit (Ask anita if you would like the full story). Had a super presentation this morning on China - unbelievable information on what is happening and the future. Hoping to get copies of slides - a long presentation but fascinating and lots of food for thought.
Ladies have found time in the evening to explore HK and make a few purchases in the markets!
Had my fortune told -it would appear I have any honest face, don't look my age and will be getting married next year!!!!
Ladies still very busy with meetings with some very important ones tomorrow so working til the bitter end. We have had time for lots of laughter and giddiness. Flying back on Saturday with Emirates so at least we know we can get home.
