Tell us about your business or position:
I've been a Casting Director for over 15 years working on programmes such as 'The Bill' and 'ChuckleVision'. In 2009 I formed Northern Spirit Creative with the intention of developing and promoting new talent in the area. I was surprised how my career path naturally morphed into something else and I really enjoy the coaching side to what I do and the opportunities I have to work with some very inspiring people. I'm really excited about plans I have for the area this year.

What achievement in your career/business are you most proud of?
I think the short films I've cast that have involved casting children and have tackled very hard issues.

Also a TV project I worked on at the start of my casting career which involved working with and auditioning adults with learning difficulties. It was a very humbling experience, very inspiring too.

Which person, living or dead, would you most like to meet and why?
Living, I've met them really so dead would be The Carry On Team actors!

What important lesson has life taught you?
To treat others has you want to be treated

Your thoughts on the future of the economy
Hmmm...in my particular industry there are a lot of scared, nervous people so from my point of view something needs to be done about investing in the Arts and new drama to then invest in the talent and 'names' of the future.

What benefit have you or your business gained by being a Forward Ladies member?
The workshops and events I've been on have proved invaluable and I've taken many things from them..whether it was confidence to network from Etta or skills from other topics. I think I've gain confidence to network and have a voice and also I've gained some friends along the way which is great

Exclusive offer to members: I don't really have 'products' to offer so I could promote other members business as relevant on the courses and workshops I do.

I run consultations for actors dealing with acting or confidence building, public speaking etc so I could offer these at a discount.
