17 Burgate will now go forward to the national Excellence in England awards and compete against the very best from other regions.

Pat and her husband William, have also been prime movers in the development of Yorkshires Finest Accommodation (YFA), a consortium of 5 Star properties across the region.
Yorkshire's Finest Accommodation has over 50 member propeties working together to promote the quality the region has to offer.

Pat said "YFA is a brilliant example of individual businesses working together for mutual benfit-we have learnt that cooperating is a viable alternative to competing. We pass business around the region and this increases the number of visits people make as they realise there is top quality accommodation everywhere in Yorkshire."
