FORWARD LADIES LIMITED
MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
In these terms and conditions the following words shall bear the following meaning:
Forward Ladies means Forward Ladies Limited, 15 - 17 High Court Lane, The Calls, Leeds, LS2 7EU
Member means any Member of Forward Ladies or any person or persons intending to or who have applied for membership of Forward Ladies upon the terms and conditions contained herein.
Membership Year the Membership Year will run for 12 months from the date a Standard Member joins Forward Ladies. For Group Membership the Membership Year will run for 12 months from the date that the Lead Group Member joins Forward Ladies.
Event or Events means any of the activities or events organised by Forward Ladies Limited for its Members.
Website means the Forward Ladies Website www.forwardladies.com .
Members of Forward Ladies will be invited to attend events organised by Forward Ladies. Details of such events will be uploaded on the Website as well as being emailed to all Members by e-newsletter.
All other membership benefits (such as discounts for specific services) can be found within the Members Forum and will be offered directly by Members to Members. Forward Ladies cannot guarantee the availability of Member to Member offers, and any goods or services provided may be subject to additional conditions.
2. Membership Details
All applications for membership of Forward Ladies are to be made via the Website application form. By submitting the application form online, the Member is deemed to have signed the application form.
On completion of an application form, each new Member will receive an e–welcome pack which will contain a membership number. A membership card will follow, posted to the postal address as stated on the application form.
On acceptance of the membership application by Forward Ladies, Members shall be bound during the continuance of membership by these Terms and Conditions including any amendments made in accordance with the procedure set out below.
Forward Ladies reserves the right at all times and in its absolute discretion to determine the number of Members in Forward Ladies and may accept or reject applications for membership as it feels fit.
The annual membership fee for individual membership is £75 inc VAT. Group members must all work for the same company. The Lead Member will be the main point of contact for all membership enquiries and will be contacted when renewal is due.
You are welcome to add new members to your group membership at any time by contacting Forward Ladies Head Office on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0845 64 34 940. All members within a group membership are linked to the lead member and are due for renewal 12 months from the date that the Lead Member joined. Your company may want to re-allocate membership should someone leave the company. If this is the case, there will be a charge of £6.00 inc VAT and a new membership card will be issued.
All membership monies are payable in sterling, with preferred payment being an online payment. Payment can be made by a debit payment or by credit card. Payment can also be made by telephone or by cheque. Membership fees are revised annually and will be notified to Members in writing.
Clause 5 contains cancellation rights.
3. Forward Ladies Members' Area
Members can use their membership number to create their own personal login and password details to enter the Forward Ladies Members area of the Website. Within this Members only area, Members will have access to a directory of Members but the use of data from the directory for commercial purposes of any sort is not permitted.
Members will be asked to fill in personal details such as name, e-mail address, membership type (individual or group), services they offer, phone number, website details and whether or not they are willing to offer other Members a discount or other special offers on their services. Members will have the opportunity to choose which of their personal details they would like listing in the Members directory, which can be viewed by all Members.
Forward Ladies reserves the right to refuse access to the secure Members only pages. Forward Ladies shall not be liable for any loss or damages whatsoever arising from your inability to access any pages on the site.
Any Member wishing to change, add or delete any information on themselves held on the Members only sections of the Website are able to do so by logging in and amending the details. If you are unable to login or access this area or you forget your login or password, you can contact the Website administrator by emailing email@example.com.
Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their membership number, login details and passwords, and for all activities that occur under their membership number, login details and passwords, whether by themselves or anyone else using their login details and passwords. Members must ensure that they have any permissions or consents required to include material or links in the Members directory.
4. Discussion Forums
Members can participate in a Forward Ladies Discussion Forum.
The Forward Ladies Discussion Forum area is a public system and as such Forward Ladies takes no responsibility for the views expressed in messages posted to any discussion. Any views expressed are those of individuals, and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies of Forward Ladies.
Forward Ladies does not verify, confirm or accept any responsibility for any of the information, advice or material provided on the Forward Ladies Forums. If you use any of the information, advice or material posted on these forums, you do so solely at your own risk.
Forward Ladies accepts no obligation to monitor the use of the forums but reserves the right to remove without notice any material posted to any discussion which Forward Ladies deems to be offensive or in any way wholly inappropriate to the nature of the discussion. If you wish to complain about material on the forums, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Members agree not to:
- post any material which infringes third party intellectual property rights;
- post any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive or otherwise objectionable on the Discussion Forum;
- use the Discussion Forum for any commercial purpose or to operate surveys, contests or chain letters;
- use the Discussion Forum to make complaints against individuals and/or organisations.
5. Terminating Membership
Membership is to be renewed annually. Forward Ladies will email each Member once the membership is coming up to renewal. If a Member does not pay the annual membership fee then the membership is not continued and the Member will not have the benefit of membership.
Forward Ladies reserves the right to expel Members or to prevent any Member from participating in any Event or from renewing membership if the Member puts the organisation into disrepute or if a Member continuously fails to attend events which she has signed up to or if the Member is misusing the membership forum or the discussion forum (for example, using the discussion forum to send chain letters).
If, for whatever reason, a Member wishes to terminate her Membership, she must give 28 days notice of this in writing to Forward Ladies. We regret we are unable to offer refunds if membership is cancelled for whatever reason before the renewal date unless we receive notice of cancellation within 14 days of taking out membership.
Members will be informed of forthcoming Members Events by e-newsletter or on the Website and will be required to pay the Event attendance monies prior to the Event taking place. Members can sign up to an event via the Website event booking system. Payment for attendance at an Event can be made online by debit or credit card payment.
Members shall not hold Forward Ladies responsible or liable in any way whatsoever for the cancellation for whatever reason of an Event. If a Member has signed up to attend an Event but is unable to attend the Event, that Member must contact Forward Ladies Head Office on email@example.com or 0845 64 34 940 at least 3 business days prior to the Event. If notification is received from a Member at least 3 business days (excluding weekends) prior to the event, a refund of Event attendance monies minus a cancellation charge of £5.00 (inc VAT) will be given. If notice is received after this, the Member will not be entitled to a refund.
Unless otherwise stated, if a member is cancelling a booking on a business break (UK only) there must be a minimum of 28 days notice given to receive a full refund (minus the £5.00 cancellation charge) thereafter the following sliding scale of refund percentage will be applied:
- More than 28 days - 100% refund (minus £5.00 cancellation fee)
- 14-28 Days notice - 50% refund (minus £5.00 cancellation fee)
- Less than 14 days notice - No refund will be given
Overseas Business Breaks terms and conditions will vary see individual break.
Where cancellation arises and is the fault of a supplier of an Event, Forward Ladies will use its reasonable endeavours to procure the return of the booking fees and any other monies paid by Member for such Event.
Members agree to comply with any necessary health and safety regulations applicable to any Event attended.
7. Variation of Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions may be revised from time to time. If they are revised, we will post the revised version to you or email them to you. It will be your responsibility to keep up-to date with all such changes and your membership renewal and continued use of the Website shall be deemed acceptance of any changes to these terms and conditions.
8. Data Protection and Intellectual Property
It is your responsibility to keep your password/membership number and log-in details confidential and use the security devices offered. Our security measures depend on you complying with this obligation and we are not responsible for any breach of your privacy due to your failure either to keep your password/membership number secure or to use the other security devices correctly.
We will use your data to administer your membership and Events you attend. When you attend an Event your name may be included on a delegate list. Where you obtain information about other Members you must use this in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Other Members may also use the personal data you make available in the Members directory. Do not make any information public which you do not want other Members to see.
If you have a concern about how another Member is using your personal data, or if you think it is being used in breach of these terms, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You acknowledge that the internet is not a completely secure medium, and we therefore cannot be responsible for breaches of security arising out of intentional and/or unauthorised attempts to access the Site, for example, by computer hackers. In addition, we are not responsible for the use made of your personal data by other Members who access it through the Site.
9. Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with English law and all disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

12. Marketing offer
- The Marketing offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer
- Limited to one insertion onto the What’s On page a month, maximum of 12 insertions a year
- Unused What’s on adverts cannot be carried over into the next years membership
- The adverts can be to promote events only
- Only the lead member of a membership can post What’s on insertions
- Additional £60 onto cost of membership is an introductory offer and can be recalled without notice
- Forward Ladies allow up to 5 working days to post the advert to the website
- Forward Ladies reserve the right to deny any insertion
