The book charts a brief history of this unique family run restaurant, still making waves in the North after all these years, with her cookery demonstrations, her tours to India and her charity work here in the UK and in India.

It lists over 80 recipes of the most popular mouth-watering dishes and accompaniments served at the restaurant over the past 25yrs.  It also introduces the reader briefly to the tenets of Hinduism and the philosophy of Ayurveda which says,“Let food be your medicine and the medicine be your food”.

Come along and hear Hansa talk about her life and enjoy a delicious two-course business networking lunch.

Hansa’s Dabhi has been at the forefront of bringing Indian Vegetarian Cuisine to the mainstream restaurant scene in Leeds and Yorkshire since 1986. Her all women staff, serve her blend of Gujarati Vegetarian home-cooking, with touches of her East African upbringing, which has been highly acclaimed and won her many awards over the years, the latest being voted, ’Curry Chef of the Year 2007’, and being recognised for ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Leeds Restaurant Industry’ by the Leeds Restaurant Association in 2008, and her latest award - the Leeds Guide’s, ‘Curry Chef of the Year-2010’ competition..
