Actress and presenter Lynda Bellingham, is in Leeds touring with the stage show Calendar Girls, and her new autobiography “Lost and Found: My Story” is being published on 22nd February. Lynda became an official ambassador of Barnardo’s in 2009, and has been a passionate and long term supporter of Barnardo’s work for nearly 20 years, during which time she has visited a range of Barnardo’s projects around the country.
Lynda will speak about her career, current work and experiences, writing her book and why she supports Barnardo’s. Lynda will be joined by Barnardo’s staff who will give a brief overview of the work here in Yorkshire. Barnardo’s works with more than 100,000 children, young people and their families in 415 specialised projects in communities across the UK. Across the Yorkshire region, Barnardo’s is working to turn around the lives of 14,000 children, young people and their families every year.
