Running your own business can be challenging and at times the feelings of isolation, particularly for those who work on their own, can be overwhelming. Being able to interact with positive like-minded individuals can provide a vital support network.
Forward Ladies (the UK’s leading business support organisation for women) in conjunction with Beever and Struthers, Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors and Barclays Bank: are setting up a group of 8/10 female entrepreneurs in Manchester later this year. These groups, FEE (female emerging entrepreneurs) are currently running successfully throughout Yorkshire & The Humber. They provide a stimulating and supportive environment for female owner managers in non-conflicting business sectors, to learn and share their experiences in a ‘safe’ and confidential environment.
FEE groups are intended for women who have run their own companies for 12 months and are actively pursuing growth within their businesses. To be eligible you are likely to have a business turnover between £50k - £250k (applicants will be required to provide a record of their accounts). As a member of a FEE group you are required to attend bi monthly meetings, maintain confidentiality and support other members in the development and growth of their businesses.
