Judy's background is that of a publisher and serial female entrepreneur.
She started her first company aged 19. Her second company was a publishing company and that came a few years later. This was sold successfully after four years and, with the money from the sale, she founded the famous independent publishing imprint Piatkus Books.
Piatkus was at the forefront of publishing books about changes in the way that people live and they we always on the cutting edge of new thinking. By the time Piatkus Books was sold in 2007, it had become a wellknown lifestyle publishing imprint with a turn over of over £10 million, an innovator of genre fiction publishing and an international global brand capable of achieving number 1 bestsellers in different parts of the world.
