Northwest Women in Business Awards set for January

Northwest Women in Business Awards set for January

10/11/2009

Entries are now being taken for the highly competitive Northwest Women in Business Awards which are set to take place in January 2010.

Organisers from the Northwest Women’s Enterprise Forum have revealed that the event will be held at Ribby Hall Hotel in Lancashire on the evening of Friday 29th.

The ceremony aims to bring together the female faces behind some of the region’s most innovative and successful companies.

It is hoped that the event, now in its third year, will encourage more female entrepreneurs in the area and give a boost to those women already in business.

"By celebrating those women who are already making their mark, recognising and rewarding them for achieving that success on their own terms - we hope to encourage more female entrepreneurs which is important to the future prosperity of the Northwest economy," the organisers said on the event's website.
Those looking to enter the 2010 competition can apply for up to two categories and must be part of a majority female-owned enterprise.

Entry forms can be downloaded from the Northwest Women In Business Awards website and must be received no later than Friday 20th November.

Previous award winners have included scientist Dr Sharon O’Kane from Renovo and Debbie Pierce of the Bury Black Pudding Co.
