26/03/2010

A YORKSHIRE Business Woman has won the Women on Their Way Outstanding New Product Award at the awards ceremony at Aston Villa Football Club on Friday for a baby feeding product she invented.

Her Chillipeeps range includes a teat in a pod that is pre-sterilised ready for first use and can be directly attached to a ready-made baby formula milk carton.

The Chillipeeps range which was inspired from a ‘Eureka’ moment is the current Overall Winner in the Baby Products Association Concept and Innovation National Awards.

In February, Claire was a runner-up in the Venturefest Yorkshire Investment Competition and she was chosen to attend a ministerial round-table discussion with Lord Davies, Minister of Trade, Investment and Small Business.

“Any new business needs to gain credibility, by proving products, services and the people. Our products are Award Winning and now I am absolutely thrilled to have been given this Women On Their Way Award, I know the award will helping us in our quest to secure funding to manufacture in Yorkshire. I hope my award will inspire others, especially women to dare to dream and go into business” said Claire.
