Festival of Cycling, York

Cycling helps you to stay fit and healthy, and get from A to B quickly and cheaply. It’s also a great way to get out and meet new people, and gives you a sense of freedom and independence.

Find out more about the many benefits of cycling through a series of informative, female-only, cycling-related workshops being staged as part of Cycling City York’s second annual Festival of Cycling, which will take place in Rowntree Park, York on Saturday and Sunday 11 and 12 September.

Maybe you’d like to access training, learn how to look after your bike so that you’re equipped to deal with simple roadside repairs or perhaps you’d like advice on choosing a bike and accessories? You may be looking for information on keeping your bike safe and secure, or where to find stylish but practical clothing? The Cycling City York team can help you with all of this and more.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re totally new to cycling or just haven’t ridden a bike for a while, go along to The Festival of Cycling and get involved in this special programme of female-only events. There’s no need to book, you can turn up on the day and take part in the workshops of your choice or simply have a chat with members of the Cycling City York team for information and advice.
